Hello Everyone!!

How are all my girls doing out there?! I haven't been on much here or my main journal princesslacy but I've checked in on you when I could! I hope everyone is well and enjoying the Olympic Games Men's Swimming!

I'm so excited to see all the Swimslash being posted!! I started checking in during the trails and I was thinking...oh no! where is everyone? Am I the only one who wants hot swimboy love?! I'm glad to see that isn't the case!!!

Speaking of the trails, I was watching Michael...boy, has he grown-up well! More on that later! Anyway, I saw this beauty come out of the with gorgeous green( I think they're green?) eyes and wet curly locks...I was thinking who is this guy and where did he come from!!!

After, I heard his name, I thought surely not, I used his name in as a background character for an Athens fic but I would have remembered him! Apparently, Michael isn't the only one who has grown up very nicely in the last four years!

Now, for those of you who know me, it doesn't matter how hot these two Americans are...My OTP, My True Loves are and always will be Ian and Pieter. In fact, the first fic I have for you is a short Thoogie, I wrote last summer. I saw Ian in the stands at games this week and then watched Pieter race without him...I'm still sad he retired too young. There was...is hopefully...something between them and I miss them so.

With that being said, You can't watch my Americans Boys without visions of sexy swimslash in your head! Actually, it's been pouring out! Michael and Ryan are making it sooo easy!

So, on with the Swimslash! I'll put them in my journal and in olympicslash(so glad that community is there!) under individual posts.

*Big Hugs and Kisses* Lacy

PS. I haven't forgot you Lithi or you Pieter/Roland fic!!! *special hugs*

Hello Darlings!

All my dear ones, I’ve missed you so very much! I usually have posts that are bright and upbeat but this time I must offer so many apologizes. I disappeared on several wonderful friends and I truly feel bad. It has weighed heavy on my heart…I started on LJ when I was going though a real tough time and you all gave me unconditional love, friendship and acceptance. I am still so grateful for your friendships. I don’t believe what some folks say…that it’s not real if it’s online. Companionship and kindness is felt in the heart and soul…those parts of us don’t know the different between a keyboard, phone call or a cup of coffee. Not that I haven’t wished I could sit and drink coffee with each of you!

Dear Friends,

This is not the normal looking update posts I usually do( big colorful fonts and lots of pics) nor is it an update about my life (that's long over due and coming soon). This is just a small note about a moment of hope for humankind and a brief pause from the personal sadness it has induced.

Tonight, live on national television in the United States of America, Brokeback Mountain claimed it's rightful place in history and took the Golden Globe Award for BEST MOVIE of the year.

I don't even know were to began explaining the importance of this victory...the film stands alone as a beautiful love story that I can not even bare to see but it also champions the hopes and dreams of so many people. On a day that we celebrate the life of another forward runner for love, hope and humanity, Brokeback Mountain and it's 7 nominations and 4 wins, offers hope that maybe...just maybe people can put love first and some day there can be a world where there are no more tragedies like Matthew Shepard or heartbreaks like Brokeback Mountain.

It's good to be back and I promise you'll hear from me more often! I'll explain all that later! * smile*

So Much Love and Hugs to Everyone!

Lacy

Golden Globe Update Online

By David Germain
Associated Press

The cowboy romance "Brokeback Mountain" led the Golden Globes on Monday with four prizes, including best dramatic film and the directing honor for Ang Lee. The Johnny Cash biography "Walk the Line" won the Globe for best musical or comedy film and earned acting honors for stars Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon.

It was a triumphant night for films dealing with homosexuality and transsexuality. Along with the victories for "Brokeback Mountain," acting honors went to Felicity Huffman in a gender-bending role as a man preparing for sex-change surgery in "Transamerica" and Philip Seymour Hoffman as gay author Truman Capote in "Capote."

"I know as actors our job is usually to shed our skins, but I think as people our job is to become who we really are and so I would like to salute the men and women who brave ostracism, alienation and a life lived on the margins to become who they really are," Huffman said as she accepted her award.

Director Lee's "Brokeback Mountain," the story of two rugged Western family men (Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal) concealing their affair, has emerged as a front-runner for the Oscars — which occasionally have handed out top acting prizes for performers in homosexual or gender-bending roles but have never given the best-picture Oscar to a gay-themed film.

Oscar nominations come out Jan. 31, with the awards presented March 5.

"Brokeback Mountain" also won for best screenplay and song, "A Love That Will Never Grow Old."

Hello Girly Girls!

It's me...Princess Lacy!

This is finally my first official post on my new journal! I'm sorry it took me so long to get back up and running! Summer went too fast and school just slipped up on me!

I love teaching the photo classes! I forgot how much I loved it! I'm also doing the yearbook this year and it's a lot more work then I expected but I'm enjoying it! A few bumps but it's going pretty well so far. Budget problems, schedules, a/c, oversize classes etc. We have new administration so there's a lot of change and just figuring things out.

I want to say a Big Thank You! again for all wonderful birthday wishes I received from all of you!! It really meant so much to me! *happy smile*

I also want to apologize for disappearing on you like I did! I was in the middle of helping with a fic and sending some of the fics I did finish to my beta. Likewise, I was in the middle of email and/or post conversations with several of you, my dears! I even missed a couple of birthdays! Don't worry I'm make it up to you with lusty swimmer fics!! lol

Okay, it goes without saying that before I can post any of the passionate, naughty, loving fics that I wrote this summer I have to post the following one. It’s short because of my time limitations lately but I couldn't write or share another thing without it. I'd planned my first swimcrush post to be a rather naughty group activity with the boys (all my crushes...swimcrush...get it?!) LOL but it will have to wait, Ian and I are still dealing with...well, you know my Pieter getting m......mar.... LOL

Additionally, I have to post a few of Ian and I’s favorite pics of our beautiful Pieter! So enjoy and I'll hopefully now I’ll start having time to email and chat with you darlings on a regular basis...I sure miss everyone!!

*Hugs and Kisses*

*Thank you so much for the birthday love!!!

This is just a quick note to thank my lovely friends for the birthday wishes!! I can't tell you how much it meant to me!!

I started getting text messages and email this morning on my sidekick while I was on the way to work!!!

Lynn told me to check LJ tonight and I swear I almost cried!! I've been so busy, school just got too crazy too fast and I've felt bad that I've neglected you all so! It's nice to know your friends still care even when you haven't been the greatest friend lately!

I love you all! I'm going to spent some time on the computer this weekend so hopefully we can get caught up!

* Big Hugs and Kisses to all!*
